International Desk: Bangladesh is in the list of countries whose citizens have not received visas for various reasons, even if they want to go to America. There are three countries including North Korea at the top.
The US State Department released the list on Tuesday for fiscal year 2023. It has been seen that Bangladesh is lagging behind Pakistan. But India is quite ahead in this field.
According to the published list, none of the countries have been granted US visas. Half of the applicants from a country have their visa applications rejected, some countries or significant applicants have received visas.
The list shows that 43.66 percent of those who applied for visas from Bangladesh did not get visas. 40.82 percent of applicants from Pakistan have their visa applications rejected. And 10.99 percent of Indian citizens' American visas have been rejected.
America has not given visas to any of the three countries including North Korea. 3.30% of applicants from Israel, 4% from Cyprus, 3.96% from Kuwait, 3.21% from Uruguay, and 4.18% from the United Arab Emirates did not receive a visa.
The American embassy has not turned away any applicants from the tiny European state of Liechtenstein. However, information about how many people applied in the country was not available.
The fiscal year in the United States runs from October to September. Their visas are also calculated based on that schedule.
