Sports Desk: Bangladesh recently whitewashed Pakistan in a two-match series at their home ground. However, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has no headache about Bangladesh. He made a mockery of the opponent in the press conference.
Bangladesh-India will meet in the first Test of the two-match series on Thursday (September 19) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Host team captain Rohit spoke at the press conference on Tuesday (September 17) about the preparations for the series.
Rohit mockingly said in the press conference, 'All teams want to beat India, they enjoy losing India. Let them have fun. We focus on how to beat them. We don't care what they think or say about us. When England came here, they also said a lot about us. But we didn't pay attention to that. We need to bring out good results and that is our aim. India has played against many teams recently, rather than thinking about the opponent, the team has only one goal, and that is to win.'
Tigers head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe spoke at the press conference on the same day. He said that the series against a strong team like India will test the team's position internationally.
India's probable XI for the first Test against Bangladesh
Note that apart from the two-match Test series, Bangladesh will play three T20 matches on the tour. The second Test will be held in Kanpur on September 27. According to the schedule, the three T20s of the series are scheduled to be played on October 6, 9 and 12.
