Sports Desk: The ninth edition of the Women's T20 World Cup will be held in just two weeks. Bangladesh Cricket Board BCB has announced a 15-member team ahead of this tournament. And two experienced cricketers of the country, Rumana Ahmed and Salma Khatun, did not have a place in this squad.

BCB women's cricket chief Habibul Bashar and women's cricket chief selector Sajjad Ahmed started the press conference after the announcement in a video message on Wednesday (September 18).

This time the chief selector was questioned about Rumana and Salma not being in the team. He said that these two cricketers are not in BCB's future plans. But if they want, BCB will give them the opportunity to play the last match for the country.

Taj Nehar, who is waiting for his international debut, got a place in the team instead of Rumana Ahmed. The chief selector said that the reason for the inclusion of this young woman in the team was that Taj was included in the team mainly in place of the former captain Rumana. Because, Rumana did not do well in the Asia Cup. His batting is not going with T20 for now. Taj Nehar has been taken in his place.

After that the name of another senior cricketer Salma Khatun came into discussion. He has not been in the national team for almost a year. BCB is not even thinking about him.

Sajjad said about this experienced cricketer, we have spoken to both Salma and Rumana. If they want to play one last match for the country, of course we will try to see them off the field. They can be placed in other roles on the board even after leaving the game. But the decision has to be taken by them.
