Jumbangla Desk: Planning advisor Wahiduddin Mahmud said that donors want to give money with open hands. USAUD says, you build the project, we will pay. The World Bank wants to provide budget support to the projects that have been allocated but the money has not been taken.

He gave this information at a press conference at the NEC conference room after a meeting at the Ministry of Planning in Dhaka on Wednesday (September 18).

The adviser also said, "All the donor groups have asked to know our new needs." Some projects will be accelerated which are foreign aid projects. Many projects are in cold storage, dead projects will be discounted by the World Bank.

He said, taking the project with political motives will not be very profitable. Projects should be selected.

The advisor also said that more foreign aid projects will be passed. Dollars in the pipeline must be put to use.

He also said, I don't understand why we import LNG even though we have gas in our country. Instead of importing LNG, domestic resources should be utilized by digging more domestic wells.
