Lebanon's Ministry of Health said that more than 300 people were injured in the explosion.

BBC correspondent Hugo Bachega from Beirut said that ordinary people are now panicking when they see someone using a mobile phone. Interrogating them.

Smoke was seen rising from a mobile phone shop in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon. Although the cause of the wash cannot be confirmed, explosions were reported from different places within an hour.

Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Galant said his country had begun a new phase of war. He made this comment while visiting an airport in Israel.

5,000 pagers purchased by the armed group Hezbollah were placed with explosives inside them by Israel's intelligence agency Mossad, a Lebanese security source and another source, Reuters reported.

But Israeli and US sources told media outlets Axios and Al-Monitor that the explosives detonated shortly after fears that Hezbollah was aware of the plan.

Hezbollah and Lebanon's prime minister blamed Israel for the attack.

However, there was no official statement from Israel regarding the Pager explosion.

As the manufacturer of the pagers, the name of a company based in Taiwan called Gold Apollo Company Limited comes to the fore.

But Gold Apollo founder Su Ching-kuang has denied any involvement in the explosion.

Among those injured in yesterday's explosion was Iran's ambassador to Beirut. His wife said he is fine now.

Those who were present when the incident happened in Lebanon described the whole thing as "terrifying" to the BBC.
