Jumbangla Desk: Captain Hasan Haseeb Khan, Operations Manager of the expressway, says that the incident of vandalism at Kuril Toll Plaza of Dhaka Elevated Expressway is a misunderstanding.

He said this on Wednesday (September 18).

Hasan Hasib Khan said, there is no opportunity to move people in pickups on the expressway. Some people were standing in the pickup you saw in the video. Then they were stopped. At one point some people got down from the pickup and started arguing why they should not be allowed to go. Then they removed the barrier and left.

He said, in fact, they thought they were trapped. This is a complete misunderstanding. They paid the toll. They were locked up mainly for their safety. They may not know our safety rules, hence the misunderstanding.

He also said that there was no damage to the toll plaza. Just had an argument with them. However, I immediately called 999 and reported the matter. Police and various government agencies have come and seen.

About who was in the pickup, Captain Hasan Hasib Khan said, nothing is known about it yet. It is not known whether there were people of any political party in the pickup at that time.

It is to be noted that a video of what happened at Kuril Toll Plaza of Dhaka Elevated Expressway after 9 am on Wednesday was spread on social media Facebook.

Where seen, a pickup van with about 30 to 40 people is standing at the toll plaza. Suddenly a young man dressed in Punjabi breaks down the barricade of the toll plaza. At that time, others got into a scuffle and verbal altercation with the toll plaza workers.
