Uttara Vijay filling station on Kaliganj-Ghorashal regional road was fined 40 thousand taka. Apart from this, a supershop named Aponghar on the ground floor of Khodeja Shopping Complex in Kaliganj New Bank Mor area has been fined Tk 10,000.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Nuri Tasmin Urmi paid the fine by operating a mobile court on Wednesday (September 18) afternoon.
According to mobile court sources, the mobile court raided Uttara Bijay filling station on Kaliganj-Ghorashal regional road based on the news that buyers were cheated by offering low octane, diesel and petrol. At that time, the owner of Uttara Vijay filling station was fined 40 thousand rupees for violating Section 46 of the Weights and Measures Standards Act, 2018.
Sources also said that the mobile court raided Aponghar Supershop on the ground floor of Khodeja Shopping Complex in New Bank Mor area for selling fake and low-quality cosmetics. At this time, the owner of the supershop, Kazi Md. Zubair was fined Tk 10,000 under Section 30 of BSTI Act 2018.
Inspector Sikhan Saha and Field Officer Maqsuda Runa, Bench Assistant Mahbubul Islam, Thana Police and Ansar members were present in the operation at Gazipur district office of BSTI.
