Own Correspondent, Gazipur: Two people, including a college student, were killed in a collision between an auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle in Kapasia, Gazipur. The accident took place on Wednesday (September 18) at noon in Shaldai Mollabari area of ​​Kapasia-Manohardi road.

The deceased are Saudi expatriate Imran Hossain (23), son of Sharif Hossain of Narottampur village of Kapasia upazila, and Zahirul Islam (25), son of Asaduzzaman, a neighbor of the same village, student of Khirati Technical College.

Kapasia police sub-inspector (SI) Rashed Mia said that the two youths were returning home from Kapasia on a motorcycle. On reaching Saldai Mollabari area of ​​Kapasia-Manohardi road, their motorcycle lost control and collided with an autorickshaw. In this, two youths with a motorcycle fell on the road and were seriously injured. Locals rescued them and took one to Kapasia Upazila Health Complex and the other to Manohardi Upazila Health Complex where both died. As there was no complaint, the bodies of the two deceased were handed over to their relatives following the application. The motorcycle involved in the accident was recovered and kept at the local police investigation center.

Kapasia Upazila Health Complex's emergency department doctor Dalia Akhtar said that one person was brought to the hospital dead in a motorcycle accident.
