Disciplinary action will be taken against them. They will not be forgiven. Surely they are involved in some misdeed. Because of this they are not joining the workplace .'

He said these things in response to questions from reporters after the closing parade of the 40th BCS (Ansar) cadre officers and 25th batch (male) recruit sepoys of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force in Kaliakore, Gazipur on Wednesday (September 18) morning.

Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, 'The number of policemen who have not yet joined the work is very insignificant. We are investigating them. You can also let us know if you have any information about them.'

When asked about the magisterial powers of the army, he said, 'The people will enjoy the benefits of the magisterial powers given to the army. The army has been in the field for a long time, so they have to work within a capacity. Our other forces also have some shortcomings, the army needs to fill them.'


In response to a question from journalists, the Home Affairs Adviser said that Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces will be developed as efficient, professional and timely forces through 'reforms'. At this time, he also praised the role of this force in protecting the law and order of the country in the context of the anti-discrimination movement and the fall of the government.

The Home Affairs Adviser said, 'After the downfall of the dictatorial government through the anti-discrimination student movement, the members of Ansar risked their lives to protect important facilities including police stations, traffic and airports. In particular, the members of the Ansar Guard Battalion ensured the internal security of DMP police stations and were engaged in the security of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
