Own Correspondent, Gazipur: As the Chairman of 11 Union Parishads of Kapasia Upazila of Gazipur was absent from work, 11 government officials from different departments of the upazila have been given the responsibility of running the activities of the council. The upazila administration issued an office order in this regard on September 15. The operation of this order issued in public interest has started from Wednesday (September 18). Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) AKM Lutfar Rahman confirmed the matter later.

In the office order signed by the upazila executive officer on September 15, it is said that the chairmen of the union parishads of Kapasia upazila are absent from work without permission. As a result, people's access to birth and death registration services is being disrupted and public interest is being undermined. In view of the order issued on August 14 of the Local Government Department, Administration-1 Branch, in order to provide all the services related to birth and death registration in the existing situation, the officials of different departments of the upazila have been given the responsibility of birth and death registrar of 11 unions.

Assistant Upazila Primary Education Officer in Union Parishad Sanjida Amin, Upazila Cooperative Officer in Sanmania Union Parishad Sirajul Islam, Assistant Upazila Primary Education Officer in Karihata Union Parishad Ratan Kumar Sen, Assistant Upazila Primary Education Officer in Targaon Union Parishad SM Fatema, Assistant Upazila Primary Education in Kapasia Union Parishad Officer Monir Hossain, Assistant Upazila Secondary Education Officer Jahangir Alam Chowdhury in Chandpur Union Parishad and Jobair Alam Assistant Upazila Primary Education Officer in Durgapur Union Parishad will perform duties.
