Jumbangla Desk: The school ground is not like a big reservoir. There is no way to know that this is a government primary school field picture. This is a picture of flooding in the premises of North Krishnanagar Government Primary School No. 7 of Kalkini Upazila of Madaripur. The school's playground gets knee-deep in even the slightest rain. Because of this, the teachers, staff and students have to suffer a lot during the school.

Due to continuous heavy rains for the past few days, waterlogging occurred in the school premises. This is disrupting the education program. The school was established in 1971 on about 62 percent of the land. Now about 200 students study in this school from infant class to fifth class. And all these students do sports and exercise in the school grounds. Apart from this, important events like International Mother Language Day, Martyr's Day, Independence Day are being held in this school premises.
But due to the low ground of the school, waterlogging occurs in light rains. There is no drainage system to drain the water. So not only during monsoon but also when it rains at any time of the year, this waterlogging is created. And the smell is created from the water that is not drained quickly. Also, different species of mosquitoes are born. It can be seen that after the class, the children are playing in the water in the school grounds.
The head teacher of the school Md. Shahalam Bepari said that if it rains a little, our school grounds and the classrooms of the old building get submerged in water. Then we face many problems in running our education program. The school grounds need to be filled urgently.
Upazila Education Officer Badiuzzaman said that during the last three days of monsoon, the school has accumulated rain water in the field, so the teachers and students of the school are facing various problems. We have already applied to the higher authority for allocation, if we get the allocation we can renovate the field.

In this regard, Upazila Executive Officer Uttam Kumar Dash said, I have visited the school before. Immediate action will be taken to permanently solve this problem by filling the ground so that there is no problem in school teaching and student sports.
