Jumbangla Desk: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia expressed her gratitude to God after seeing the fall of Awami League government and Sheikh Hasina leaving the country. Wednesday (September 18) Khaleda Zia's personal physician and member of the BNP standing committee Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said this.

AZM Zahid Hossain said that on August 5, Khaleda Zia was lying in bed watching news on TV. Seeing the scene of Sheikh Hasina leaving the country, he said, 'Thank God, this day was very much needed.'

Meanwhile, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has returned home after seven days of treatment at the hospital following the decision of the medical board. He left Bashundhara's Evercare Hospital around 6:30 pm and reached Gulshan's residence Feroza around 7:30 pm. Then while talking to the journalists, Zahid Hossain told Khaleda Zia's feelings on August 5.

The BNP Chairperson was admitted to Evercare Hospital at midnight on September 11. He was treated in the hospital cabin. An expert medical board headed by Professor Sahabuddin Talukder has been treating Khaleda Zia for a long time.

79-year-old Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various complications including liver cirrhosis, heart disease, lung and kidney complications, arthritis, diabetes for a long time.

BNP chairperson suffering from cirrhosis of the liver underwent blood vessel surgery on October 27 last year. Khaleda Zia's blood vessels were operated on by bringing three specialist doctors from the US. Later on June 25, Khaleda Zia's heart was implanted with a pacemaker at Evercare Hospital.

After that, on the night of July 7, BNP chairperson fell ill at Gulshan's residence and was admitted to Evercare on an emergency basis the next morning as per the decision of the medical board. Then he returned home from the hospital on August 21. For the past few years, his life has been going on with the hospital and the house.
