Jumbangla Desk: The interim government's electricity, energy and mineral resources advisor Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan said that an initiative has been taken to dig 100 wells for gas extraction in the country.

Regarding the payment of imported electricity bills, the advisor said, one billion dollar assistance is being sought from the Asian Development Bank for payment of various bills including imported electricity bills. One billion dollar assistance will also be sought from the World Bank.

Regarding the rental power plant, he said that there is no decision regarding the rental power plant as the agreement is in force. The contract cannot be canceled at will. The expert committee is working on this. Action will be taken as per their recommendations.
