Ibrahim Khalil, JOB Representative: Jagannath University will be managed on the basis of law and justice, said the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim. 

He said this while joining his workplace on Thursday (September 19). 

The Vice-Chancellor said, I assure everyone that I will not do any wrongful act intentionally. But as humans, mistakes can happen. But come to me and tell me the mistakes. I will correct myself.

He thanked the Jagannath University teachers who had worked tirelessly for the past one month to appoint a vice-chancellor.

The Vice-Chancellor also said that the core of all our work is the students. So above all else we should give place to the interests of the students. We will all strive to transform a student-friendly university.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Rezaul Karim said, "First of all, I remember with deep respect all the student masses who were martyrs of the July revolution, in return for whose sacrifice we got a new independent Bangladesh today." Many are still under treatment in hospitals, their hope was to establish a non-discriminatory society and education system. I will continue to try to establish a non-discrimination society with you. 

Earlier at 8:30 in the morning Jagannath University's newly appointed Vice-Chancellor Professor (retired) Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim has joined the workplace.

Hundreds of students gathered at the university from morning to welcome the new vice-chancellor.

Besides, teachers and staff also welcomed the new vice-chancellor. The treasurer of the university was present. Md. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, deans and chairmen of various faculties.
