Jumbangla Desk: Father and son died in Alfadanga of Faridpur within three hours. The tragic incident took place in Mithapur Dakshinpara area of ​​the municipal area.

On Friday (September 20) at 10 a.m., funeral prayers of father and son were held together at Mithapur Darus Sunnah Madrasa premises in the municipal area.

Later, father and son were buried side by side in the social cemetery next to the madrasa. At the beginning of the funeral, a guard of honor was given to the brave freedom fighter father by a smart team of Thana Police under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sarmin Yachmin.

According to local sources, Mohammad Shariful Islam, elder son of Nazrul Islam, a resident of Kusumdi Dakshinpara area of ​​Alfadanga municipality, is a Sub-Inspector (SI) of Police working in DMP. Old Nazrul Islam was ill for a long time due to old age. In the last few days he became more ill. After hearing about his father's illness, son Shariful Islam died in a tragic road accident on his way home after a five-day leave.

The boy lost control of the motorcycle at a place called Bamankanda of Bhanga Upazila on Bhanga-Dhaka Expressway around 4:30 pm on Thursday and died on the spot. Meanwhile, three hours after hearing the news of his son's death, the ailing father, brave freedom fighter Nazrul Islam, died at his home.

The tragic death of father and son has cast a shadow of mourning in the area.
