Jumbangla Desk: The university administration has filed a murder case in the Ashulia police station in connection with the murder of Shamim Mollah, the former Chhatra League leader of Jahangirnagar University (JAB). Police said that the case was registered on Friday (September 20) early morning.

Earlier, the university's deputy registrar security Sudipta Shaheen complained to the police station. There, 20-25 unidentified people were accused by mentioning the names of eight students who were recently suspended along with a coordinator.

The accused are Mohammad Rajan Mia, a student of the 46th batch of government and politics department, Raju Ahmed of the 45th batch of the same department, Mahmudul Hasan Raihan of the 50th batch of the English department, Zubair Ahmed of the 44th batch of the history department, Hamidullah Salman of the 49th batch of the English department, Atikuzzaman of the 49th batch of the management studies department. Atiq, Sohag Miah of 47th batch of Computer Science and Engineering department and Ahsan Labib of 49th batch of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering department.
