META took tougher action against Russia. The multinational technology company has announced a complete ban on Moscow's state-run press as well as other media outlets this time. About which a statement has already been issued by the organization. Russia also responded.

On September 17 this year, Meta imposed a ban on Russian state media. As the argument goes, Moscow is using the media as a tool to spread lies. However, the Kremlin has denied it.
Since the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, several Western countries, including the United States, have imposed multiple sanctions on Russia. Since then, pressure has been mounting on Meta to remove the Moscow press. Recently, Vladimir Putin's country has been accused of inciting violence in various parts of Britain by spreading fake news on social media. Meta took this step after that.

It should be noted that Washington has been putting constant pressure on New Delhi to ban Russian media outlets in India. The Narendra Modi government has made it clear that this demand cannot be accepted in any way.
