A witness said, "We have said several times that Khatib Ruhul Amin has entered the mosque to offer prayers." The worshipers then say, you will not have prayers. For saying this, hundreds of terrorists of Khatib Ruhul Amin killed the worshipers and threw them out of the mosque. How did the interim government attack us? We want justice.

Another worshiper said, the friends of fascism have resigned. A scholar of Baitul Mukarram could take this role, we did not think so. He claims himself as Khatib. He wants to bring about 1000 madrasa students from Gopalganj and take over Baitul Mukarram and give a sermon. Then the worshipers said to him, you cannot preach. The blood of the martyrs has not yet dried. The decision will be made and then the sermon will be given. Soon after this, the students who came with him mercilessly beat the devotees of Dhaka. Without any discussion, his students bloodied the worshipers inside the mosque.

At least 50 worshipers were injured in the incident, he said, adding that they broke the glass of the mosque with shoe boxes, rods and pipes. Later, they attacked the worshipers with the intention of killing them with that glass.
