In a notification signed by Omar Farooq, it is said that gusty or gale force winds may blow over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar regions from the south or south-east at a speed of 45 to 60 km per hour. Rain or thundershowers may also occur. Therefore, the river ports in these areas have been asked to show warning signal number 1.

According to the next 72 hours weather forecast, the extension of monsoon axis extends over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of one of these extends to the northern Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay of Bengal. A low pressure is likely to develop over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas during the next 72 hours.


Light to moderate rain with gusty winds or thundershowers may occur in some places of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and some places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions from 9 am onwards. Along with this, there may be moderate heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.

Besides Rangamati, Feni and Brahmanbaria districts along with Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet divisions, mild heat wave is flowing and it may continue. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

According to the weather forecast, there may be light to moderate rain or thunder with gusty winds in some places of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and some places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions till 9 am on Sunday. Along with this, there may be moderate heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.

Apart from this, there may be light to moderate rain with gusty wind or thunder in most places of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and many places of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions till 9 am on Monday. Also, there may be moderate to very heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.
