Jumbangla Desk: This time, a group of university students protested in Dhaka University (DU) campus demanding ban on politics of students, teachers, officials and employees. They have announced that they will not attend classes from the 22nd unless politics is banned in the campus.
On Friday (September 13) at noon, the students gathered in the hallpara of the university with a procession. Later, they took out a protest march and held a brief rally at the foot of the anti-terrorist Raju sculpture. At that time, the students kept chanting slogans like 'campus politics, no more no more', 'address of party politics, this campus will not happen', 'Hale Hale Khabar de, bury student politics' etc.
Meanwhile, the students in the rally said that banning student politics on the campus was one of the points of the anti-discrimination student movement. But that's what many people are trying to say now. Where party politics is banned, the road to usurpation and tyranny politics is closed, there is no point in talking about it. We want to say in clear words, students-teachers-officers-employees must ban all kinds of party politics in the campus. At the same time, Student Council should be started without delay. We don't want to go back to class on the 22nd unless politics is stopped on campus.
They said that physical and mental farce is carried out on ordinary students in the name of guest room, common room in the halls only to achieve the fascist interests of the political parties. Ordinary students are standing against this kind of dirty party politics in Dhaka University campus. We are not in favor of depoliticization of the campus but in favor of democratic selection of guardians of students. Dhaka University Central Student Council (DACSU) election is the life demand of ordinary students.
