On Friday (September 20) at around 12 noon, these fish were taken for sale at a fishmonger named M/s Kamal Fees in Alipur, Patuakhali. The fishes are sold through mail for 19 lakh 20 thousand 300 taka. The fish were originally caught on Thursday (September 19) at a depth of 95 km east-southeast of Kuakata.
It has been found that F.B. The trawler named Nahida Akhtar went to sea from Alipur Ghat on September 16. For three days, the fishermen did not get the desired fish after throwing their nets in different areas of the sea. On Thursday, they caught 102 maunds of fish. The fish are brought to the Alipore Fisheries Landing Center and separated into three sizes. However, due to the relatively small size of the fish, the price was fetched low.
Proprietor of Messrs. Kamal Phis. Kamal Hossain said, the fish brought for sale are divided into three parts. Fish weighing 600 grams to 800 grams were sold at Tk 25,000 per maund, 400 gm to 500 gm fish at Tk 20,000 per maund and small size fish at Tk 15,000 per maund. Other different species of fish were sold for three lakh rupees. Totally sold for 19 lakh 20 thousand 300 taka.
The owner of the trawler, Abdul Mannan Bepari, said that very few fish have been caught in the sea for many days. On the one hand, as there are less fish in the sea, on the other hand, due to the bad weather, the fishermen could not go down to the sea properly. For that we had to count our losses for many days. By selling this fish I will be able to recover some of the previous losses.
