Jumbangla Desk: We have announced that we will not take revenge on anyone. Taking revenge means taking the law into your hands. Wherever this has been done, chaos has ensued. Revenge begets revenge, and it goes on forever. We want this dirty work to end here. But justice demands that the person who has committed the crime should be punished for the specific crime. And that is through legal process. Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat Islam said. Shafiqur Rahman.

Jamaat Amir

He said this while speaking as the chief guest in the first part of Rokon conference and Sudhi rally organized at Sirajganj Darul Islam Academy ground on Saturday (September 21).

Jamaat Amir Shafiqur Rahman said, we want Bangladesh to continue on its path of liberation until it reaches its destination. If any evil force wants to remove Bangladesh from this road, then 36 crore hands of 18 crore people of the country will resist them, Inshallah.

He said, now national unity is very necessary. We must be united on the fundamental issues of the nation. Every party will do politics from its own place, will say what it wants to say according to its conscience, will criticize the current government as necessary. Again, this government will also provide adequate support to carry out the reform works properly. Let's all move forward through balanced politics. Parties and opinions will differ, this is the beauty of democracy. Not everyone will be as picky as I am, that's the beauty of democracy. For this, we must have the mentality to tolerate criticism. Those who criticize are our real friends. Those who do not criticize me, remain silent even when they see my mistakes cannot be my friends. We welcome and encourage criticism.

Addressing the journalists, he said, you were not free for 15 and a half years. Willingly or unwillingly you too have written against the oppressed groups. Many say you were helpless under pressure. I will not blame you for this. God has now freed your voice. Request to you, now that you can fulfill this sacred duty according to your conscience.

Jamaat Amir said that they have killed thousands of people including freedom fighters since the war. We are yet to come out of the black hole they plunged the country into.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Jamaat-e-Islam has been oppressed the most in the last 15 years. One by one, 1 to 11 top responsible leaders have been removed from the world through judicial killing. They were hanged, pushed to death inside the prison. They wanted these leaders to beg for their lives. But they bowed down to none but Allah. Not only that, the ammunition fell on those who protested others. We tried to do a lot of movement. The dictator was eventually ousted by a student movement.
