the quotaJumbangla Desk: Member Secretary of the Central Sub-Committee on Health and Central Coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Tariqul Islam has revealed the number of martyrs and injured people in the country in the last July and August in the one-phase movement for quota reform and then the fall of the government under the banner of anti-discrimination student movement.

In a video message, he said that the number of martyrs in the July revolution was 1423. A complete list on this subject will be made very soon.

He posted this video on Facebook yesterday at 11:30 pm.

Tariqul Islam said that the number of martyrs in the July revolution was 1423 people. But this number can be more or less. We will be able to make a full list very quickly. Working with injured people is very difficult. Because this number is huge. We have a list of 22,000 injured people so far. But there will be addition-subtraction with it.

This coordinator also said that the number of people who were crippled or injured during the movement was 587. 685 people lost partial or complete sight due to bullets. 92 of them were shot in both eyes or had both eyes destroyed.

Meanwhile, each family of the martyrs in the mass uprising will receive a one-time sum of Tk 5 lakh and each injured person will initially receive a maximum of Tk 1 lakh. According to the previous decision, the health ministry will pay the medical expenses of the injured persons. This decision was taken in the first meeting of the Executive Committee of Shaheed Smriti Foundation on Wednesday.

The emergency financial assistance program of 'Julai Shaheed Smriti Foundation' has started this week. Information and Broadcasting Adviser Nahid Islam said that a fund of Tk 100 crore has already been donated to the foundation from the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund.
