Locals said that on Sunday (September 22) morning, the workers of Mandal Intimates Limited in Bagher Bazar area of ​​Gazipur Sadar Upazila did not come to the factory and started a strike demanding increase in attendance bonus.

Later, when they took a position on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, there was a traffic jam on that part of the highway. Passengers suffered due to this. Army personnel and industrial police are working to control the situation.


On the other hand, since morning, the workers of Astrotex Limited in the new market area of ​​Sripur Upazila of Gazipur have observed a strike to demand a minimum attendance bonus of one thousand taka and an increase in the tiffin bill along with increasing the salary according to the grade.

Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sreepur Camp of Shilpa Police SM Azizul Haque said that the workers of two factories have protested. Meanwhile, the workers of Mandal Intimates Limited blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway demanding an increase in attendance bonus.
