Jumbangla Desk: They introduced themselves as coordinators and ordinary students to listen to music in the concert organized by Chittagong Medical College (CHAMEC). But when Chamek was informed that no outsider could enter his own concert, they started protesting and vandalizing.

The incident took place in front of the gate of Chamek Shah Alam Bir Uttam auditorium on Saturday (September 21) around 7 pm. Later, this group of 50/60 people escaped after being chased by police and Chamek students.

It is learned that youths posing as coordinators and ordinary students vandalized the gate of Chamek and pelted bricks at the police and students. At one point, they blocked one side of the road.

According to the organizers, the two-day event started from Chittagong Medical College on Friday. Saturday was the second day of the concert. Chamek's former students had access to this concert. A special entry card is also used for them. But around 7 a.m. a group of young people came and wanted to enter the auditorium. Being prevented from entering, the youth gathered in front of the main gate of Chamek and started shouting slogans. They chanted slogans such as 'We must see the concert', 'We must accept our demands'.

Additional police are deployed in such situations. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Panchlaish Police Station went to the scene around 8 pm. Go to Solomon.

He said, 'A group of young coordinators wanted to enter the concert by identifying themselves. If obstructed, they came to the road and shouted slogans. Police and Chamek started pelting stones at the students. At one point, when they tried to enter by breaking the gate, the police and Chamek students chased them. Later they ran away.'

OC Solaiman also said, 'The band called Avoid Rafa announced on their Facebook page three days ago that they will meet everyone at the Chamek concert. Because of this, it seems that the young people came thinking it was an open concert.'

When asked about this, the central coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement and a student of Chittagong University Mohammad Russell Ahmed said, 'We do not know anything about this. I don't even know who went there.'-Ittefaq
