Jumbangla Desk: To ensure the safe breeding of hilsa, hilsa extraction, transportation, buying and selling, storage and exchange has been banned for 22 days across the country.

Farida Akhtar, Advisor to the Interim Government on Fisheries and Livestock, gave this information on Sunday (September 22).

He also said that for the purpose of safe breeding of hilsa during the main breeding season, collection, transportation, buying and selling, storage and exchange of hilsa will be prohibited throughout the country for 22 days from October 13 to November 3.
