According to Industrial Police sources, the workers of Mandal Intimates Limited in Bagher Bazar area of ​​Gazipur have been demanding to increase the attendance bonus at various times. In the morning they came to the factory without attending work and demanded an increase in attendance bonus and created a blockade on the location of Bagher Bazar Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.

Army personnel and industrial police are working to control the situation.

On the other hand, the workers of Astrotex Limited in the new market area of ​​Sreepur in Gazipur have been on strike since morning demanding minimum attendance bonus and increase in tiffin bill.

Meanwhile, a peaceful atmosphere prevails in the industrial area of ​​Ashulia, with most factories operating. However, at least 19 factories are still closed in the industrial area due to internal reasons.


Superintendent of Police of Industrial Area Police-1 Sarwar Alam said that the overall situation in the industrial area is normal. Almost all factories are operational. However, some factories are closed due to various problems.

Today 15 factories are closed in industrial areas under section 13 (1) of the Labor Act and another 4 factories are on general holiday. However, there has been no chaos anywhere so far. A peaceful atmosphere prevails in the industrial area. At least 16 factories were closed in Ashulia yesterday.
