Jumbangla Desk: The Bangladesh Chhatra League has issued a statement expressing concern over the extrajudicial killings in Dhaka University (DU) and Jahangirnagar University (JABI) in various parts of the country. This concern was expressed in a statement signed by BLA central president Saddam Hossain and general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan on Sunday (September 22).

It is said that Chhatra League has expressed concern about the extrajudicial killings of Tofazzal Hossain in Dhaka University, Shamim Molla in Jahangirnagar University and Abdullah Al Masood in Rajshahi University in various parts of the country recently. At the same time, Chhatra League is calling on the administration and law enforcement agencies to take appropriate action against those involved subject to impartial investigation.

Incidentally, two people were beaten to death in Dhaka University (DU) and Jahangirnagar University (JAB) last Wednesday (September 18). These two murders took place between Wednesday afternoon and night. Among them, Shamim Mollah, the former leader of the University Branch Chhatra League, who was killed in Jabi, and Tofazzal Hossain, who was killed in DU, is a mentally unstable person. The university administration has filed a murder case against the unidentified accused in the DU incident. In the meantime, there is a storm of criticism everywhere including social media.
