Jumbangla Desk: The Financial Intelligence Department of Bangladesh Bank has asked for detailed information about the bank accounts of Awami League General Secretary and former Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

On Sunday (September 22), Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) sent letters containing instructions to various banks and financial institutions of the country asking for bank account information.

In the letter, the organization has given instructions asking how much money was deposited in the name of Obaidul Quader's bank, when it was deposited, who deposited it, such detailed information. Earlier, BFIU suspended Obaidul Quader's bank account on August 27.

Obaidul Quader's parents' name, wife's name, date of birth, national identity card and smart card information have been mentioned under the instructions of BFIU.

Obaidul Quader has been in charge as the general secretary of Awami League since October 2016. He was the road transport and bridge minister until the fall of the Awami League government on August 5.
