Jumbangla Desk: After the fall of the dictatorship Sheikh Hasina, many things are changing in the country. A lot of information is coming out. Jamaat-e-Islami's student organization Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, which has been conducting politics secretly in Dhaka University (DU) for a long time, has also announced its politics openly.

Abu Sadiq Kayem, one of the organizers of the anti-discrimination student movement that led to the downfall of the dictatorial Awami League government, revealed his identity on Saturday (September 21) with a message on his Facebook ID. In his Facebook ID status, he said that he is the president of Dhaka University Branch Islami Chhatra Shibir.

Although Kayem's name is not in the list of coordinators, this student of Dhaka University led the student movement in July. He was also seen in various films with the main coordinators of the movement. There is discussion, this Sadiq was also present at Bangabhaban in the swearing-in ceremony of the Advisory Council.

Now Al Jazeera's investigative journalist Zulqarnain Sayer Khan Sami has given some mysterious information about him. During the movement in July and August, Zulkarnain highlighted various issues including his acquaintance with Qaim.

This journalist wrote on his Facebook wall, 'I was thinking since noon to write a status, my decision was like a monkey climbing up an oily bamboo. He went up one foot and then slipped two feet and went down. As nature is against suppressing such opinions, I could not suppress them any longer. I passed the oily bamboo.

I knew the boy as Salman, since July 25th, then talked regularly, a network of close friends of mine arranged to keep some very important coordinators safe. Basically everything is arranged in coordination with Salman.

My friends and I developed a cordial relationship with Salman who was very young. When the top leadership of the coordinators was arrested by the DB office, Salman and other coordinators became the nucleus of the entire movement. I was in regular contact with everyone in the safe house, frankly I was quite amazed at Salman's control over the whole situation. He is quite old, maybe 24/25, but the way this boy has maneuvered in all situations on the advice of my friends and taken all the most important strategic decisions is undoubtedly worthy of praise.

I talked to Salman a few days ago, there is no change in the boy, he is the same Salman who is arrogant. These two sons of Salman and Kader are completely different from all other coordinators. The leadership of both is very strong.

So today at noon I found out that Salman's real name is Sadiq Qayyum (Sadiq Qayyum), and his political identity is the president of the Dhaka University camp. Of course I was surprised, quite surprised. But I applaud the fact that Shibir has been able to produce a leader like Salman (for me he will be Salman), despite not having the opportunity to do politics openly.

Student politics is vital to a healthy democracy, and if any political party takes advantage of it, what's the harm in making young people like Salman or Quader as mature leaders?'

Besides, Zulkarnain wrote in some of his comments, let me clarify one thing, if Salman had contacted me in the camp or as a leader of any other political party, then I would not have sent them to my trusted friends. I would not be involved in this. But Salman came to me as an ordinary student looking for a safe haven for his friends. Since the movement then turned into a kind of public coup, that's why I helped Salman, Quader and others. Whether Salman has committed a crime by concealing his political identity or has shown prudence, only the general public can judge.

Zulkarnain also wrote, "From the moment I met Salman, I knew him as an ordinary boy. Seeing the quality of his leadership, I thought that only these people can create the dream Bangladesh. But I did not know anything about his political background.
