Jumbangla Desk: The police recovered the body of a young woman with her hands tied in the Teesta river of Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat. Police believed the girl to be between 18 and 20 years old but could not immediately identify her.

Mahmud-un-Nabi, OC of Aditmari police station, said that the body was recovered from Chauraha madrasa area of ​​Mahishkhocha union of the upazila on Sunday (September 21) morning.

Locals said that while the farmers were working in the morning, they found the body of the young woman stuck in the banks of the Teesta River in Choraha Madrasa area. On receiving the information, the police of Aditmari police station recovered the body and sent it to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital morgue. Although the crowd could not identify him, they believed that the body had floated upstream.

Police said her hands were henna-colored and had 'I love you' written on them. Both hands are tied behind the veil. The face of this young woman, wearing a black burqa, was burnt with acid.

Aditmari Police Station OC Mahmud Un Nabi said the body was recovered and sent to the morgue. It is believed that the killers killed him and tied his hands and burnt his face with acid. Information has been sent to various places to identify him.
