New Superintendent of Police in three districts, new DIG in Rangpur

Jumbangla Desk: Four DIG of Police and 6 officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police have been transferred. Among these, new DIGs have been posted in Rangpur range and new Superintendents of Police in Noakhali, Thakurgaon and Kurigram districts.

The transfer was announced on Sunday (September 22) from the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Senior Assistant Secretary Habibul Hasan signed the notification by order of the President.

The four DIGs who have been transferred are Aminul Islam as DIG of Rangpur range, SN Md. Nazrul Islam to CID, SM Rokon Uddin to Police Staff College and Md. Shafiqul Islam has been transferred as Barisal Metropolitan Police Commissioner.

The new superintendent of police in the three transferred districts is - Md. Abdullah Al Farooq in Noakhali district, Sheikh Zahidul Islam in Thakurgaon district and Md. Mahfuzur Rahman has been transferred to Kurigram district.

Apart from this, the transfer order of Riaz Uddin Ahmed as Superintendent of Police in Kurigram district was cancelled, Superintendent of Police Uttam Prasad of Thakurgaon was transferred to Tourist Police and Superintendent of Police Mohammad Asaduzzaman of Noakhali was transferred to Nilphamari Inservice Police Training Centre.
