The 10th FIFA Futsal World Cup is being held in Uzbekistan. In this tournament of 24 teams, Brazil is playing from 'B' group and Argentina from 'C' group. Both teams from Latin America qualified for the second round by winning their respective groups.

After defeating Ukraine 7-1 in their first match, their second match was a 2-1 win over Afghanistan. In the last third and last match, the Argentine futsal team defeated Angola by 9-5 and entered the last sixteen as the group champion.

The second round of the 10th FIFA Futsal World Cup will start from September 24. Brazil-Costa Rica will enter the field in the first match. Argentina will play in the last sixteen on September 27. Their opponents are yet to be determined. Croatia could be Argentina's second round opponent.
