Jumbangla Desk: The Chief Advisor of the Interim Government has left for New York to attend the 79th General Session of the United Nations. Muhammad Yunus.

He left for New York from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (September 23) morning at 5:05 am.

A total of 57 chief advisers, including security, media, are going to New York as tour companions.

It is known that the chief advisor will hold a high-level meeting with the Netherlands, Pakistan, Nepal, the head of the European Commission, the US Secretary of State. However, there is no possibility of discussion with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bangladesh will urge the international community to play its role strongly in the UN session on the Rohingya issue.

On the sidelines of the United Nations session. US President Joe Biden will sit in a bilateral meeting with Yunus. Citing the diplomats of the two countries, several media outlets of the country published such news last Saturday.

In his speech, he is expected to highlight the mass uprisings in Bangladesh in the last two months and reiterate his commitment to establishing a people-oriented, welfare-oriented and public-interest state system, the foreign adviser said at the press briefing.

The chief adviser will leave New York for Dhaka on the night of September 27 after completing the tour.
