Jumbangla Desk: The police recovered the body of a young woman with both hands tied behind her back from the Teesta river in Lalmonirhat. The police believe that the young woman is between 18 and 20 years old. On Sunday (September 22), the body was recovered from the char in Kutirpar Balur Dam area of ​​Mahishkhochcha Union of Aditamari Upazila of Lalmonirhat.

 


Locals said that in the morning, they found the body of an unidentified young woman stuck in the riverbed in Chauraha area. Later the police were informed. On receiving the information, Aditmari police station came and recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue. It is believed that the body floated from upstream India.


Locals also said that both hands of the deceased girl were dyed with henna. 'I love you' was written on the left hand. Her hands were tied behind with a veil and her face was scorched. No one could immediately identify the identity of the body as it had been in the water for a long time.

 

Aditmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahmud-un-Nabi said that the body was recovered and sent to the morgue. The police sent information to different places to identify the identity of the young woman.
