Jumbangla Desk: General Secretary of Dhaka University branch of Islami Chhatrashibir SM Farhad has explained about having a post in the committee of Chhatra League.

In a statement sent to the media on Monday (September 23), he said, "I (SM Farhad) have no involvement with any programs and activities of Kavi Jasim Uddin Hall and Social Welfare Institute Chhatra League."

I have never given any CV to anyone for any position of Chhatra League. I never introduced myself as Chhatra League in any medium.
He said, who will be kept in the committee of the hall or department, that is the decision of the concerned Chhatra League. Why am I being involved there, where I am not involved in their activities in any way.

"Rather, I have actively participated in all past movements and struggles for the rights of ordinary students, including the anti-discrimination student movement. I consider my association with the Chhatra League as an attempt to destroy the spirit of the anti-fascist movement. '

He also said that during my duties as the president of the Hall Debate Parliament and the General Secretary of the Department Debate Parliament, pictures of me being present with various political and cultural personalities including Chhatra League are seen on social media. All these were debating club related events. Not a political event.
