Jumbangla Desk: A dramatic incident has taken place regarding love and marriage in Chittagong's Kalipur Union. Last Saturday, September 21, the marriage ceremony of a girl of Ilsha village with Md. Azizur Rahman of Paschim Palegram was going on. At that time the girl's lover Rakib appeared at the groom's house and showed some pictures and videos of him with the bride.
Enraged by this, the groom Azizur Rahman tied up his lover Rakib and broke off the marriage. When this news reaches the bride's ears, she tries to commit suicide by consuming poison. Later the family admitted the bride to the hospital. This dramatic incident has created quite a sensation in the village.
Meanwhile, in Palegram area of Kalipur Union of Banskhali, the police came and rescued the detained lover on Sunday afternoon.
Zaker Ahmad, father of the groom, said, "During the ceremony to finalize his marriage with my son, on the night of the mehndi ceremony, a boy named Rakib came and showed some videos and pictures saying that the girl was having a love affair, due to which we detained him. And I have decided to break the marriage, I have spent at least 7 lakh rupees in connection with the marriage. I informed the bride's side to resolve the matter but they did not come. Zaker Ahmed and his family demanded compensation for the money spent on the occasion of the wedding.
On the other hand, the bride's mother said, I have arranged so many things, in the meantime, my daughter's side has decided to dissolve the marriage because of her love affair with a scoundrel named Rakib.
