Omar Farooq Khan and Jamal Uddin joined as AMD of Islami Bank

Jumbangla Desk: Md Omar Farooq Khan and Mohammad Jamal Uddin Majumder have joined as Additional Managing Directors (AMD) of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC.

Md. Omar Farooq Khan was earlier working as Managing Director (ongoing charge) of NRB Bank Limited. He joined Islami Bank in 1986 after completing his master's degree from the Department of Sociology of Dhaka University and successfully served as Additional Managing Director with various important posts of the bank for 37 consecutive years.

He is an Associate of the Institute of Bankers Bangladesh and a Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) of the International Chamber of Commerce. He participated in various seminars and trainings on banking including credit management in Thailand, India, Malaysia, Switzerland and Dubai.

Mohammad Jamal Uddin Majumder served as Deputy Managing Director of Pubali Bank before joining Islami Bank. He joined Islami Bank as Senior Principal Officer in 2002 and served in various important positions for 22 consecutive years with efficiency and success.

Mohammad Jamal Uddin Majumder passed B.Sc Engineering in 1994 from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CHUTE). He received training in Japan, Sri Lanka, Bahrain and India on various topics including use of information technology in banking, anti-money laundering and BASEL-III.
