The name of the deceased army officer is Lieutenant Tanzim Charwar Nirjan (22). Police said he was a member of the joint force's raid team in Chakaria.


Today Tuesday (24 September) this incident took place in East Maijpara of Dulahajara Union of Upazila around 3 am to 3:30 am. So far, six robber-terrorists have been arrested in this incident.

At that time, Lieutenant Tanzim, who was in the raiding party, caught an armed robber in Jap. That's when the sharp knife in the robber's hand hit him. Even after that, the robbers continued to shoot at the joint forces team. From there, a bullet pierced the body of the army officer.


According to the locals, the discussed Reverge Para, Katakhali, Dumkhali area of ​​Dulahajara of Chakria is a reserved forest land. Over the years, the area has become a haven and safe haven for bandits and terrorists. From there, various criminal activities including armed robbery, banditry, rape were taking place in various places around. But the law and order forces could not carry out such operations to suppress the activities of these criminals. Because the number of members of these bandit-terrorist gangs is more than half a hundred. They even have a huge amount of illegal firearms in their custody.


OC Md. Manzoor Quader Bhuiyan said, when they went to raid a house that was robbed, the members of the joint forces were shot at by the armed robbers-terrorists. At that time, when a robber was caught, that robber stabbed the army officer Lt. Tanjim. A shot was fired at him. In this condition, he was seriously injured and taken to Chittagong Combined Military Hospital. He died there while undergoing treatment.
