International Desk: A herd of monkeys saves a six-year-old child from attempted rape. The monkeys charged at the man and he ran for his life.

An unidentified man has been charged with attempted molestation following a complaint by the kindergarten student's parents. Police said on Sunday (September 23) that the man is on the run. The incident took place in Baghpat region of Uttar Pradesh, India.

The girl's parents claimed that a man lured their child to an abandoned house on Saturday. There he removed her clothes and tried to sexually assault her. She is forced to leave the minor and run away when some monkeys aggressively snap at her.

The mentally disturbed child narrated the ordeal to his parents and told them how the monkeys 'saved him from the accused'.

The child's father said, 'My daughter was playing outside the house when the accused picked her up. Nearby CCTV footage shows the man walking along the narrow lane with my daughter. However, he is yet to be identified. He also threatened my child that he will kill me too… My daughter would have died by now if the monkeys had not rushed there immediately.

Baghpat Circle Police Officer Harish Bhadoria told the Times of India, "We have heard about the monkey attack during the rape attempt and are investigating the matter." Following a complaint by the child's parents, an FIR was registered under Section 74 of the BNS. A case is filed under this section if an attack or criminal act is committed with the intention of molesting a woman.
