Jumbangla Desk: The court has ordered the remand of ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, former Member of Parliament of Chittagong-6 Constituency, for two days.

Chittagong Chief Judicial Magistrate Nurul Haroon's court granted the remand on Tuesday (September 24) morning.

Confirming the matter, Chittagong District Court Inspector Zakir Hossain Mahmud told the media that a seven-day remand of ABM Fazle Karim was filed in a case filed against the Dalinagar-Nawajishpur branch (Ebadat Khana) of the Muniriya Youth Tabligh Committee in Raujan. Court granted two days remand after hearing.

Earlier, on August 23, former member of parliament ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, his son Faraz Karim Chowdhury and 68 others filed the case against Muniriya Youth Tablighi Committee's organizing secretary Muhammad Alauddin.

Incidentally, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury from Gazirbazar, Akhaura, Brahmanbaria on September 12 while trying to flee to India illegally. Later on the afternoon of September 19, he was brought from Brahmanbaria Jail to Chittagong Central Jail in a helicopter.
