In a condolence message on Tuesday, the home adviser expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members of the deceased, seeking forgiveness for the departed soul.


Earlier, a team of joint forces (39 ST BN) conducted an operation there around 12 midnight on the basis of secret information that a dacoit group was staying with weapons and ammunition in Dulhajra area of ​​Chakaria upazila. Major Ujjwal, Lt: Tanzim, 2 JCOs and 24 other rank soldiers participated in the operation.


The joint forces surrounded the suspect's house around 12:30 pm. The dakat group sensed the presence of the joint force and tried to disperse quickly. At this time, Lt. Tanjim challenged the two terrorists. Suddenly they opened fire on Tanjim. At one point, this army officer tried to catch the terrorists. But at this time he was hit by the terrorists' knife on his neck. He was seriously injured and failed to catch them.


Later, the army officer quickly rescued the man and took him to Chakaria Christian Hospital. As his condition deteriorated, Ramu was taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where the doctor on duty declared him brought dead at 4:50 am.

 


It is known that the slain officer Tanzim Charwar's house is in Khar Betka village of Mirer Betka police station of Sadar upazila of Tangail district.


3 suspects have been arrested in the operation and are being interrogated.
