Jumbangla Desk: Shotgun marks were found on the body of Abu Saeed, a student of Rangpur Begum Rokeya University, who was shot by the police during the anti-discrimination student movement. Apart from this, he also had major injuries on his head. He died of excessive bleeding.

Abu Said

These facts were revealed in the autopsy report, which was obtained two and a half months after Abu Saeed's death on Monday (September 23).

Earlier, Abu Saeed's autopsy was conducted on July 16 at 12 pm. An autopsy report has ruled his death a homicide.

According to the post-mortem report, Abu Saeed had a 3-inch-long and one-and-a-half-inch-wide hole in his skull above his ear, from which blood had flowed and clotted. Apart from this, there were numerous small rubber bullet holes in different parts of the body including chest, stomach and legs. There was a lot of bleeding from there too. Abu Saeed went into a state of shock due to head injury and blood loss. He died in this.

It is to be noted that during the quota reform movement, Abu Saeed was standing against the weapons pointed by the police. At that time the policemen suddenly started firing rubber bullets at him. Saeed then had a stick in his hand, with which he tried to block the bullet but failed. He later died after being taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

When that scene of him standing in front of the police bullets was spread on social media, at that time a nationwide stir started and the movement of the students gained more momentum.
