According to a press release of the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently visited Jharkhand in India and made very rude comments about Bangladeshi citizens. Bangladesh expressed its strong protest and dissatisfaction with such statement.
At the same time, the Government of India has been urged to advise the country's political leaders to refrain from such objectionable and unacceptable acts. The circular further said that such comments coming from responsible persons against the citizens of neighboring countries undermine the spirit of mutual respect and understanding between the two friendly countries.
