Own Correspondent, Gazipur: The police recovered the body of a youth named Abu Bakkar (25) from the divider of Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Bagher Bazar area of Gazipur .

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Joydevpur Police Station Abdul Halim confirmed the incident on Tuesday (September 25) afternoon. Earlier on the same day at around 6 am, the locals informed the police after seeing the dead body lying on the divider.
Deceased Abu Bakkar (25) is the son of Abdul Jalil of Garja village of Tarakanda police station of Mymensingh district.
The OC said that after receiving information from the locals, the body was recovered and sent to the morgue for post-mortem. There are injury marks on the body of the victim. Legal action will be taken if complaints are received from the family.
The deceased's brother A. Halim said that the two brothers used to collect bottles from the footover bridge in Bagher Bazar area of Dhaka-Mymensingh highway to the surrounding area. His younger brother Abu Bakr was mentally ill and addicted to drugs.
A. Halim said, Abu Bakr went out after eating at around 8pm on Monday, talking about tapping the bottle. And I sit on the footover bridge and wait for my brother. Even though it was late at night, if Abu Bakr did not return, I kept searching in different places. On Tuesday morning, I saw the body of the brother lying on the road divider and informed the police.
