Jumbangla Desk: Remittance fighters will get VIP service at the airport when they come to the country, said the advisor of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment. Asif Nazrul

He said, we will give all the facilities that a VIP gets at the airport, except the use of the lounge.

Asif Nazrul said this in a briefing on contemporary issues at the meeting room of the Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Ministry in the capital today (September 24).

He said that the quality of service at the country's airports has already been improved. Another service that we are going to introduce is that remittance fighters will get VIP service at the airport when they arrive in the country. We will provide everything that a VIP gets at the airport, except lounge access.

The expatriate welfare adviser said, when a VIP goes to the airport, one person accompanies him with his luggage, one person stays with him during check-in, one person stays with him during immigration. Initially we targeted Middle Eastern workers. I will read the staff of Europe. A staff member traveling to and from the Middle East in Tier 1 will receive VIP treatment.

Stating that the opportunity to use the airport lounge will be created for expatriate workers in the future, he said, "We are thinking about letting them use the lounge later, it is a much later task." What we will do in the next two weeks to a month is to remove the helpless situation that a worker experiences after going to the airport.

He said, the worker will enter through which gate, how to check in, how to fill the form, how to do it if you want any documents at immigration, the expatriate welfare desk of the airport will be engaged in these tasks. If necessary, I will hire new people with training through outsourcing.

Stating that this plan will be implemented within the next two weeks to one month, he said, we will have zero tolerance in this regard so that an expatriate should not be harassed or humiliated at the airport under any circumstances. We will definitely leave it for sure.
