IT consultant's urge to increase data center capacity

Jumbangla Desk: Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Adviser Nahid Islam has urged the Bangladesh Computer Councilor to increase the capacity of the data center.

Nahid Islam made this call at an exchange meeting with officials of Bangladesh Computer Council at ICT Tower in Agargaon, capital, on Monday (September 23). The advisor is briefed on the BCC's activities at the outset of the consultation.

Nahid Islam said, our main goal is to make Bangladesh free from corruption. Bangladesh Computer Council should continue to work with dedication and efficiency keeping in mind the principles and ideals of Bangladesh Computer Council.

Regarding the steps taken on the basis of various complaints, officials said that several committees have already been formed. Two officers have been granted compulsory leave. A technical committee has been formed to review all the projects from the ICT department and run the activities. Moreover, the officials of Bangladesh Computer Council also mentioned the complications in approving various projects.

The adviser said that the work of various committees to investigate complaints should continue with transparency. The real culprits should be brought to justice.

At that time, Secretary of Information Technology Department Sheesh Haider Chowdhury along with senior officials of Bangladesh Computer Council were present in the meeting.
