Jumbangla Desk: The government has released the draft list of 708 people killed in the anti-discrimination student movement and mass uprising led by students in July and August. On Tuesday (September 24), the Health Department released the draft list of names.

This list is available at https://medical-info.dghs.gov.bd/.

If any correction is required in the information published on the website, the family members or relatives of the deceased have been asked to contact the institution where the deceased received medical treatment.

Those who do not find the name of the deceased in the list have been asked to contact the concerned Civil Surgeon, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer.

The list was compiled from reports collected from various public and private hospitals during the anti-discrimination student movement.

Earlier on September 9, social welfare and women and children affairs adviser Sharmin S. Murshid said that the work of creating a database of students injured and killed in the anti-discrimination movement of students is in the final stage.

Adviser Murshid said, 'The database will detail the number of casualties and injuries and the condition of the affected families, which is almost complete. It will be finalized after verification with information from the Ministry of Health and other concerned authorities. We plan to release this information next month.'
