Lieutenant Tanzim was laid to rest in his village

Jumbangla Desk: The burial of Army Lieutenant Tanzim Charwar Nirjan (23), who was killed by robbers during an operation in Chakaria, Cox's Bazar, has been completed.

Today (September 24) after the Asr prayer, he was buried in the local cemetery after the funeral at Boali Madrasa ground in Kar Betka village of Tangail Sadar Upazila.

Earlier, a guard of honor was given to Lt Tanzim's body. A large number of people from different classes and professions, including high-ranking officers of the army, participated in the funeral.

At 3:30 pm, an army helicopter carrying the body of the young army officer landed at the district headquarters helipad. Later, senior army officers received Tanjim's body. Some of his family members were present at the time.

The body was taken down from the helicopter and taken in a freezing vehicle and taken directly to Nirjan's home village in Kar Betka of Tangail Sadar Upazila. After the body reached the house, a heartbreaking scene unfolded. The atmosphere became heavy with the cries of the relatives. Parents are speechless after losing their only son. Suchi is the only sister who is mad after losing her brother.

General Hussain Mohammad Masihur Rahman, GOC of 19 Infantry Division of Ghatail area, said that the deceased Tanzim Charwar Nirjan was very brave. According to the laws of the country, maximum punishment will be arranged against those involved in this incident.

A team of the army went on a raid in Maijpara village of Dulhazara union of Chakoria upazila of Cox's Bazar after receiving information about the robbery. Sensing their presence, the robbers tried to flee, and Lt. Tanzim chased some of the robbers. Meanwhile, when the robbers stabbed Tanjim Charwar in the neck, he started bleeding profusely. He was immediately rescued with serious injuries and taken to Malumghat Memorial Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.

This talented army officer was a student of Bindubasini Government Boys High School in Tangail. After completing higher secondary from Pabna Cadet College, he got commissioned in Army Service Corps (ASC) on June 8, 2022 from Bangladesh Military Academy.
