On Tuesday (September 24) morning, the body of the youth was recovered from a room in Billal Mia's house in Haji Pond area of ​​South Chidana.

Those whose bodies were recovered are Mohammad Billal Sheikh (25), son of Babul Sheikh of Shimla village, Raiganj police station of Sirajganj and Shyamali Akhter (27), daughter of Abdul Jabbar of Birpurand village of Gobindganj police station of Gaibandha district.

Deputy Inspector (SI) of Gacha police station Suman Mia quoted locals as saying that Shyamli has a husband and children. Recently there was a divorce between them. At present he was working in a garment manufacturing factory in Chaidana area of ​​Gazipur. He was staying at Billal's house since September 1. On the occasion of working there, he met tailor Mohammad Billal Sheikh. It is believed that a love affair developed between them.

He further said that the girl's left hand and the boy's right hand were twisted through an extra wire from the kitchen power line, they were wrapped around each other. No other injury marks were found on their bodies.


The body has been sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. A wrongful death case has been registered in the police station.

Around 6 am local residents informed the police after seeing the dead body of a young man lying on the divider of Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Bagher Bazar area of ​​Gazipur Sadar Upazila. Police came and recovered his body.

The young man's name is Abu Bakr. He is the son of Abdul Jalil of Garja village of Tarakanda police station of Mymensingh district.

Abu Bakr's brother Halim said that the two brothers used to collect bottles from the footover bridge in Bagher Bazar area of ​​Dhaka-Mymensingh highway to the surrounding area. His younger brother Abu Bakr was mentally ill and addicted to drugs.

Jaidebpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Halim said the body was recovered and sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. There are injury marks on the body of the victim. Legal action will be taken after talking to the victim's family.
